Software that asks for less.
Most software asks for an account before you have decided you need one, and a location before you have said why. Saada Labs builds the other kind, and prints the places it still falls short in the same weight as the places it doesn't.
What we don't build
The Absence Ledger
A privacy claim is mostly a list of absences, and absences are easy to print. So the list runs on past them: below the rule are the lines that go against us, set in the same face and the same weight as everything above it. A studio willing to typeset its own exceptions is making an argument no shield icon can make.
- None. No measurement kit, no session recorder, no event sent onward to anyone else.
- None. Nothing we make is paid for by watching you, so there is no ad network and no tracking pixel to disclose.
- Never. Not to a broker, not to a partner, not as part of anything else.
- None. Where an account is not doing work, there isn't one to create.
And here is where that stops
- Sometimes yes — a sign-in, and a phone number with it. Where that is true it is said outright, at the point you would have to decide, rather than averaged away into a claim about everything.
- Not always nothing. Some work cannot be done on a device alone, and where a server has to hold something, the something is named — not called "certain data."
- Not always none. Where place matters it is an area you pick yourself, never a continuous reading taken off your device.
- Any purchase goes through the app store. Saada never sees card details — but the store is a third party in the middle, and that belongs on this side of the rule.
Principles
- Ask for no more account than the job requires.
- What can stay on the device stays on the device.
- No third-party analytics and no advertising, in anything we ship.
- When money changes hands it goes through the app store, or it does not move through us at all.
- Name the exception where someone has to decide, in the same weight as everything we get right.
- This site holds to the same standard: no analytics, no cookies, no third-party requests, no form service. Every byte comes from saada.tech.
